Week of August 15th - 19th, 2011
6th Grade - We will continue on with Chapter 1 of the "Go Math" text book, completeing lessons 5- lesson 9. Homework worksheets will be removed from the practice book each day for student use. Additionally, a multiplication worksheet will be sent home to improve and increase the students multiplication fluency. Both multiplication and long division worksheets will be sent home throughout the year in an effort to give the students mastery of each.
7th Grade - We will continue on with Chapter 1 of the "Mathematics Course 2" text book. Associated homework will be printed and provided for the students use each day. Included in the homework will be a sheet titled "Challenge". This sheet is optional for students struggling but I do wish to have all students attempt at least one or two problems in a desire to stretch each student.
8th Grade - We will continue on with Chapter 1, lessons 7 thru 10, of the "Mathematics Course 3" text book concluding this week with a chapter test on Friday.
